This activity supports children in reflecting on their feelings about their learning and how they may change over time. By breaking the experience into the beginning, middle and end, learners can develop emotional literacy and better understanding of how learning can challenge, motivate or inspire different emotions throughout a session or day Supporting Learners - Model selecting emojis for each stage using your own example - Highlight that it is okay to feel different at different times - emotions are a part of learning - Encourage children to explain their reasoning aloud before recording - Use it as a check in tool to spot when learners might need support or encouragement - Use sentence stems - At the beginning I felt, at the middle I felt, at the end I felt...
