Today, we are going to focus on an art technique that gets us to think about the visual element of form. More specifically, the 3D form. We will be learning how to create a one-point perspective drawing of a landscape. This means that we will be drawing a scene that has a vanishing point. Follow the slides and the example video to find out more. WALT: draw using 3D form and perspective Steps for Success: I can discuss what perspective means I can pinpoint my vanishing point (your centre point where you will create your lines from) I can use a ruler or straight-edged object (jotter, card, book) to create my straight lines I can draw objects in line with my perspective lines (objects far away are smaller and closer objects are larger). You can try creating this in Seesaw but I would say it would be better doing it with pencil, paper and a ruler (or flat-edged object). I can't wait to see what landscapes you create!
