Indigenous Peoples’ Day is a holiday that celebrates and honors Indigenous people, their culture, and their history. It is celebrated across the United States on the second Monday in October and is an official city and state holiday in many places. Indigenous Peoples’ Day recognizes that Native people were the first to live in the Americas, including the lands that later became the United States of America. Explore each to learn more.
