Grades: 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, 5th Grade
Subjects: Reading, Multilingual Learners, Social Studies

Student Instructions

As you read the nonfiction article you are assigned, THINK about what you are reading. If the article makes you think, stop and look at the text tag symbols. Choose a symbol that most closely matches your thought from the list provided. Take a picture of the section that made you think. Use the pen to highlight the words or phrase. Insert the symbol AND a quick note about what you are thinking next to the picture of the text. You can use multiple tags if you have multiple thoughts about the section. Create a new Seesaw page for each new section of the text. Create at least 3 pages of text tags.
