Student Instructions

1. View the story here. 2. The author has used wonderful vocabulary in the story including some 'invented' words. Imagineer is one of these! What two 'real' words have been used to create the word 'imagineer'? mic record your answer. 3. Complete the activity exploring some of the fantastic vocabulary that the author has used. Some of the words you might investigate are : visulaiser miniscule flabbergasted fandangled contraption pondered check add your response for Mrs Williams to see - you can investigate as many words as you would like. 4. Optional: Imagine you could create a machine for an older relative. o What would it be called? o What would it do? o How would it help them? o Sketch, plan and write a description of this machine.  You might like to use read images from magazines, advertising brochures or newspapers to create your imaginings in the same way that the illustrator has used real pictures of real life objects to create her illustrations. :photo; Take a photo of your plan and share with Mrs Williams here.
