Learning Target: I can brainstorm and make a lander to safely land the rover robot
As we know, all spacecrafts in space move at incredible speeds. A spacecraft going to Mars can move at 21,000 km per hour! To land gently, the spacecraft needs to slow down before touching the surface. How will you build your lander?
1. Watch the video
2. Next, you will brainstorm some ideas of how you will build your lander
3. Show the teacher your idea and then get your materials and start building!
3. Once you have made your lander, test it out. Did it land without the rover falling out?
4. Take a
describing your lander
5. Then as a class, we will see whose lander can drop the highest without the rover falling out.
6. When you are done, click the
