Student Instructions
Goal: Work with your group to create patterns of sticks that contain the number of squares on each Work with a team of 4 to create squares. Each team member will have their own color sticks. Rules: 1. You must use all twelve sticks each time you build squares. 2. Each teammate can handle only one color of sticks. 3. Sticks must lay flat on the table. Pieces cannot be folded, bent, torn, or broken in any way. 4. Sticks may cross any number of other sticks, but they cannot lay on top of or directly next to any other stick. 5. All sticks must contribute to making at least one square. No sticks can have open ends (an end which does not touch another stick.)
