Teachers, save “Comparing infographics -Week 7” to assign it to your class.

This week we are looking at the different text structures we see in the two infographics. First teacher session - Text structures: 1. As a group, read the Hurricane infographic. 2. Clarify any unknown words you come across. 3. I Do- Teacher to point out one text structure and locate example in text. 4. We do- Discuss the text structures we can see as a group (descriptions, cause and effect, compare and contrast, sequence, problem and solution). Follow up activity - You do- complete the template for the Rural Markets infographic. Identify any text structures and give the example in the text. Not all structures will be evident and there may be more of one structure. See how many you can find.
