There are 6 dates and 6 events explaining what happened in the US after the US Revolutionary War. Put the 6 events with their dates in the correct order on the timeline. Move the dates into the correct order on top of the brown circles. Then put the events in order that match the date. check to turn in.

Answers: 1777: The Articles of Confederation are written during the Revolutionary War, establishing a weak central government with limited powers. 1781: The Articles of Confederation go into effect, giving most of the powers to the individual states, rather than the central government. 1783: The Treaty of Paris is signed, officially ending the Revolutionary War and granting the United States independence from British rule. 1786: Shay's Rebellion takes place, highlighting the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation and the need for a stronger central government. 1787: The Northwest Ordinance is passed, establishing a system for settling the western lands and creating new states, and also banned slavery in the Northwest Territory and guaranteed freedom of religion and the right to a trial by jury. 1791: The Bill of Rights is added to the Constitution, guaranteeing individual rights and limiting the power of the federal government.
