Student Instructions
The teacher shows the following image that includes house related phrasal verbs, and reads it aloud together with the students. It remains visible for the rest of the lesson. Then introduces the syntactic structures for obligations and daily routines with the verbs can, must and should: “I can sit down wherever I want on the table, but I must have lunch at the same time as my parents. I should listen to what they say!”. The students have to come up with a mini story including the idioms above and write it down. This they will be in pairs so that they compensate each other.
