Student Instructions

We have been learning about money this week. Can you remember all the different coins? Today we are going to learn how to give change. Do you know what change is? If you go to the shop and buy something, sometimes you spend too much money. The shopkeeper will give you some money back. Watch the video to learn what change is. Then, follow the 2nd link to play a game and see if you can work out change. When we work out change, we have to take away - this means we have to count backwards on a number line or put some fingers down. See if you can work this out in the game -> choose mixed coins -> up to 20p under give change Then, press add Can you work out how much change you would get in each box? Work it out and then write the answer in the smaller box using the pen or pencil. Don't forget to write the 'p'. Then, have a go at the take away sums at the bottom. Press check when finished.
