Looking through the window.

Grades: 6th Grade, 7th Grade, 8th Grade
Subjects: Character Building, Art

Student Instructions

1. Explore the attached examples of how famous artists use windows in works of art. What do you think the windows symbolize? Are the windows open or closed? What colors do the artist use? What can you see through the windows? Is there persons or objects in the picture with the window? 2.Use the template below to create a scene of your choice through the window. 3.You can use this view to realistically draw what you see outside your home OR you could use the view through the window to transport you to somewhere else (like a beach, national park, outerspace, a meadow full of flowers, into a videogame world, etc). 4.Share your creations and record yourself telling me about what I am seeing through your windows view.
