Student Instructions
We all have different strengths and think in different ways. Our learning strengths are a mix of talent, ability, skills, and knowledge. YOU WILL NEED: paper and pencil, or crayons, paints, markers - anything to colour and write with - scissors and glue/tape. 1. Think about your own strengths in the different categories of character, social, maths and logic, language, reading and others. You can watch the video again, and read the statements to help you think about your own strengths. 2. Choose at least ONE strength from each category and make each category a different colour (e.g. social=blue, language=yellow). Write one of the statements (or make up your own) on a strip of paper. 3. When you have a strength from each category, link the strips of paper together to make a strengths chain. Hang it up where you can see it every day to remind yourself of your strengths! When you develop new strengths, skills or some new knowledge, you can add it to your strengths chain.
