Mindful Moment: Kind Wishes for the World

Student Instructions

Find a comfortable seat and take a few minutes to breathe. Notice your body, feelings, and try to relax as we practice a loving-kindness meditation. We will visualize and send kind wishes to ourselves and out into the world. This meditation creates a feeling connection and kindness toward yourself and others. Think about someone or something you would like to send kind wishes to. 1. Get into a comfy space and click on the link to listen to this meditation. 2. After listening, notice how your body feels compared to how it felt before the meditation. 3. When you're ready, click add to complete your mandala drawing and Mindful Journal pages! Use the drawing or label tools to make your mandala, and the label, upload a video, or mic tools to complete your mindful journal questions. 4. Be sure to complete BOTH pages! When you are finished click check to submit!

Practicing a loving-kindness meditation helps us feel more connected to ourselves and others. According to one study, this can translate into a growth in personal resources, such as positive mindset, social support and decreased illness symptoms and stress. [As of 3.9.21]
