Highlight the Subject and the Predicate

Grades: 4th Grade, 3rd Grade, 2nd Grade
Subjects: Reading, Writing, English Language Arts

Student Instructions

Every sentence has a subject and a predicate. The subject tells who or what the sentence is about. The predicate contains the verb and tells about the subject. 1. Watch the video linked on slide 1 to learn about subjects and predicates. 2. Use move to move the rectangles on slides 2 and 3 to identify the subject and predicate in each sentence. You can change the size of the rectangle to cover the entire subject and predicate. When you are finished, click the check and submit your seesaw assignment.
