Student Instructions

You have just been hired to work at a fruit shop. Looking about you see many different kinds of fruit all in bags of six. The owner of the fruit shop wants to take the fruit out of the bags and arrange them in boxes to be placed at the front of the store. She wants more than one piece of fruit in each row and column. How might you arrange all the fruit in an array? Can you find more than one way? 1. Collect four bags of fruit. 2. Take them out of the bags and begin trying to make an array using all 24 pieces of fruit. 3. When you have found an array that works use Seesaw to take a photo of it an upload it to the class journal. 4. add Press the green add button on this activity. 5. photo Press the photo button to turn on the camera and take a photo of your array. 6. See how many different arrays you are able to make, take a photo of, and upload to Seesaw. 7. If you finish early see if you can do the Challenge Activity on the activities page of Seesaw.
