Student Instructions

Investigate the recycled materials in your family bin. Which of these could you use to build a house boat? A houseboat would be perfect for a holiday when we can finally get away. 1. Use pencil and paper to design your houseboat first. Think of the shape needed. What spaces would you need on a houseboat? 2. Collect some recycled materials together, plus glue, tape, and a pair of scissors and construct your model. Seek parental help for the tough cuts! Stay safe at all times. Decorate your houseboat if you can. Will your houseboat be ready for a holiday when the time comes? 3. Test it: does your boat float? Take photos of the drawn design, and your model. Tap plus then upload and cameraroll to add to Seesaw. Tap video to record the floating test, and use the mic to discuss your results. Tap check to save 4. Tap check to upload.
