Imagine that we are going to make a swimming pool in our classroom. We seal all the leaky parts and lift off the roof then fill it up with sparkling clear water. Your job is to find out how many square metres of water we would need to fill our classroom. First, you will need to measure the dimensions. The solve the problem. Next, you need to record the formula for finding the volume of an object. Finally, you need to explain why we use units cubed (eg cm3) when describing volume. You can add a drawing or a photo if you wish.
