Tap add Let’s continue learning about the programming blocks in Scratch Jr. We will also learn some new words! What do you think a ‘bug’ is? How about ‘debugging’? A ‘bug’ is when something doesn’t work in a program. ‘Debugging’ is when you fix it! Page 1: 1. Debug Challenge. A program has been written to make Scratch the Cat jump three times. But it doesn't work as it should! Can you spot the bug and fix it? 2. Use the mic to explain the bug and how you would fix it. Page 2: 1. Open Scratch Jr. 2. Add the bird sprite and the spring background. 3. Can you make the bird fly across the screen? 4. Now add the 'stopwatch' block. 5. Play with the stopwatch ‘wait’ value. What happens when you change it? Write a story on your whiteboard about the bird sprite. The story must start "The bird flies around the tree…". 6. Take a screenshot. 7. Using the label and mic add your story. Share your work check
