Week 3: Children should have many experiences with tracking print from left to right. Consider making an ABC anchor chart during a shared writing experience. Each morning a new student can use a pointer to tap each letter of the alphabet as the whole group reads the letters. In small group or in partners, students can practice pointing to the letters of the alphabet on a page as the letters are read or sung out loud. Students can use props like craft sticks, finger lights, or other objects to practice tracking the letters from left to right. After these modeled and guided experiences, students should be ready to show what they know in this Seesaw activity.
