Record your thinking and answers to the following questions by moving the pieces on the pizza: 1a. Place all the blue pieces on the pizza. 1b. What fraction is each blue piece? 1c. What is the angle of one blue piece, if the whole pizza is 360 degrees? 2a. Place all the green pieces on the pizza. 2b. What fraction is each green piece? 2c. What is the angle of one green piece? 3a. Place all the yellow pieces on the pizza. 3b. What fraction is each yellow piece? 3c. What is the angle of one yellow piece? 4a. Place one blue piece and one green piece, side by side, on the pizza. 4b. What fraction of the pizza is left? 4c. What is the angle of the remaining piece? 5. Repeat question 4, using different combinations of pieces (yellow and green or yellow and blue). Learning Intentions: W.A.L.T. identify fractions and angles and add fractions with different denominators. Success Criteria: W.I.L.F. Use of concrete materials and subtract from a whole number or circle (360 degrees).
