Student Instructions

Today you are going to look at the poem, 'The Haunted House' written by Jack Prelutsky. 1. Click the add 2. Listen voice to the poem being read aloud by the teacher, pay attention to the words you don't recognise. 3. On the next 2 pages pages, use the highlighter to answer the questions about the poem. Make sure you change your colours to match. 4. Finally, on the last page pages use the mic to record yourself reading the poem. Remember you can record as many times as you like, until you are happy with your work. 5. Then when you are finished, click the check to submit your work.

Jack Prelutsky is one of my favourite children's poets. He has something for every year level! If you are not familiar with his work, I recommend exploring his poetry for your classroom. Jack Prelutsky is an American writer of children's poetry who has published over 50 poetry collections. He served as the first U.S. Children's Poet Laureate from 2006-08 when the Poetry Foundation established the award.
